For every 10 menstrual products we sell, we donate one to a menstruator in need. Aunt Flow partners with large corporations like PERIOD., as well as grassroots organizations like 914 Cares and Love Your Menses.
In a conversation with PERIOD.’s Executive Director Michela Bedard, our Founder and CEO Claire Coder talks about fighting period poverty in the workplace. PERIOD. is a global, youth-powered nonprofit that donates menstrual products to communities in need through service, education and advocacy.
But how does this partnership work exactly? When Aunt Flow donates products, PERIOD. is able to most efficiently deliver those products directly to those in need. BOOM.
Right now, PERIOD. is in the middle of their State of the Period giving challenge. This year, they are celebrating the yearly event by highlighting all of their programming. With one of their organization pillars being service, PERIOD. is focused on the distribution of such products.
Yet the pandemic has exacerbated the issue of period poverty. With the need for menstrual products being greater than ever before, Aunt Flow is donating 200,000 products to PERIOD., along with smaller, grassroots organizations over the course of the year. We’re calling this the Aunt Flow Give-Back Program.
Ultimately, Aunt Flow’s partnership with PERIOD. matters because, together, we can eradicate period poverty in our lifetime.
If you don’t have freely accessible menstrual products at your business or school, let’s work together to MAKE IT HAPPEN.
