For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Arizona has included $2 million in the Department of Education budget for period products as part of Senate Bill 1720.
Also known as the Feminine Hygiene Products Grant or the Dot Project, this is a one-time appropriation by the state legislature for the 2023-2024 school year.
Although no legislation has been passed in Arizona to require that schools provide free period products, this funding will significantly impact the ability of K-12 public and charter schools to offer such essentials.

Use of Funding
Schools can use this funding to go toward:
- The purchase of pads and tampons
- The purchase, installation and maintenance of period product dispensers
- The purchase, installation and maintenance of disposal receptacles for products
