Apply for a Donation
Each year, our incredible Donation Program recipients help us continue making the world better for people with periods. For every 10 products we sell, we are able to donate 1 to a menstruator in need. And yet, we continue to receive more donation requests than we could possibly fulfill.
In 2023, we have set a new goal to ensure that our Donation Program is working effectively and making a significant positive impact across the country. In the past, we have distributed donations based on chronological order. Starting this year, our team is going to begin vetting each request to ensure that the products are going to individuals and/or organizations that we feel will have a significant impact on their lives/communities.
Before you get started with applying for a donation, we highly encourage you to read through some of our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the Individual Donation Program.
Frequently Asked Questions
Every donation recipient will receive 1,000 period products — either tampons, pads, or a 50/50 split.
In the past, we have fulfilled donation requests every April and November. In 2023, we are going to begin fulfilling donation requests 3 times per year – April, August, and December.
Here’s a helpful way to think about it:
- If you submit an application between January and April, you will hear from us by April.
- If you submit an application between May and August, you will hear from us by August.
- If you submit an application between August and December, you will hear from us by December.
Once your application has been accepted, our team will process your request. You will receive a payment link to cover the shipping costs. Once payment has been received, you should receive your donation within 15-20 business days.

claire coder,
founder + ceo
Hi! I’m Claire. I founded Aunt Flow after getting my period in public without the supplies needed.
Founded in 2016, Aunt Flow is a certified WBENC women-owned company based in Columbus, Ohio. At 18 years old, I dedicated my life to developing a solution to ensure businesses and schools could sustainably provide quality period products, for free, in bathrooms. Our products are made with organic cotton (no weird stuff) and we are constantly working to reduce our environmental impact! For every 10 tampons and pads we sell, we donate 1 to a menstruator in need. I call this people helping people. PERIOD.®
